The new model also has a whopping 8GB of RAM, just like the previous phone. Like the first Razer Phone, the 2 pairs a 12MP f/1.75 wide-angle lens with a 12MP f/2.6 telephoto, but this time around the wide lens has Optical Image Stabilization (which reduces blurring) and both camera's sensors and lenses are now made by Sony.

The Razer Phone 2 now boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 (the previous model had the 835 model) and Bluetooth 5.0. While the outside looks familiar, plenty has changed on the inside. One other change on the back of the phone the cameras have been moved from the corner of the back to the center-top of the back panel. Razer will be offering this model with a glossy back (what I reviewed) or a Satin finish, which should alleviate the fingerprint issue, but there's no indication on Razer's site of when it'll be available, or whether or not it'll be the same price as the glossy finish. This panel is unfortunately quite mushy-pressing on it firmly flexes the panel enough to make an audible squishing noise. The back panel is now made of glass, so it's a fingerprint magnet, but it allows for wireless charging. It’s useful for when your phone is face down, so you can see whether or not you need to respond to a certain notification.

This means a notification from twitter might be blue, while one from Slack could be white. Though you can customize the logo to illuminate in whichever color you want (or just turn it off), you can also enable app-specific colors for notifications. It’s fairly discreet as far as gaming peripherals go however, with no obnoxious indicators that it's a phone built for gaming, except for the RGB logo on the back. Like its predecessor, Razer has opted for a rectangular body that looks and feels like a slim brick. When it comes to the phone's design, the Razer Phone 2 looks sharp, and I mean that literally.
